The Venice Mattress by La Romantica Beds
(Memory Foam/1500 Pocket Sprung).

The Venice mattress is 11'' deep comprising of a soft to medium 6'' deep 1500 pocket sprung layer (in a 5' king size mattress). This is then topped with a total of 4'' (2'' either side) of V60 visco elastic memory foam for ultimate support (the other inch is made up from other materials that protect the memory foam from the springs). This is then covered in a luxuy fabric.

If you bought the equivalent king size mattress from that well known company that advertises on TV, it would cost you over £1650 (and theirs is the equivalent to our Shantay mattress, this is a more expensive type).........if you don't believe me then check their web site.
Well our mattresses are made from the same type of NASA developed memory foam as those seen on TV. The foam is very dense and slow releasing, therefore it moulds to your body and gives even support along the whole length of your body distributing your weight and giving you what is probably the most comfortable nights sleep you will ever have.
For this reason visco elastic memory foam mattresses are especially suited to people with back problems, or pregnant women, due to the way your spine is kept in a straight line.
These mattresses are also hypo allergenic, which means that they are ideal for athsma sufferers.
A wide range of bases are also available either sprung or platform top, without storage, or with various options of drawer layouts.
A wide range of headboards available, including matching damask.
Some memory foam mattresses you will see advertised don't contain a spring layer as ours do. And some are simply a thin layer of memory foam that you place on top of your existing mattress. Don't be fooled by these cheap imitations.
A combination of pocket springs and memory foam or latex foam is the by far the best mattress for back sufferers.

Climasmart is designed to maintain an even temperature all year round to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter.

I’d like to tell you all about my experience with Bedlum Beds.
We’d had a bed for more than 10 years and to say it was useless was an understatement – time for a new one. I had very particular requirements though – memory foam makes me too hot although I like the support and comfort aspect of it, my partner is nearly double my weight, he likes quite firm, I like quite soft, etc, etc. It was a challenge to find a bed that was going to be perfect for both of us. I sent an email to Bedlum Beds asking for some advice. Tim replied straight away suggesting some recommendations and going into a lot of detail as to why they’d be suitable and we continued to go back and forth with questions and answers until I was sure as sure can be.
As we had a pine bed frame with widely spaced slats, Tim first recommended that we purchase a couple of pieces of flexible hardboard to go over these. We then decided to go with the Venice mattress which is a luxury 1500 pocket sprung mattress that’s not too firm, not too soft. It has 2 inches of V60 memory foam on either side so you can turn it regularly and maintain the life of your mattress. We also had the climasmart fabric covering which would help with excess heat when it’s warm.
The bed arrived safe and sound about 10 days later and the two guys delivering it were pleasant and fast, getting it upstairs like it was light as a feather and then going through the paperwork with me patiently.
So, all excited now, I rushed out to buy a lovely mattress protector and a posh new egyptian cotton sheet. I put these on and prepared for a great night’s sleep. I wasn’t disappointed, the mattress is just so comfortable. I expect to take a while to get used to it with a few aches and pains in the first week but no, right from the off, I had the best night’s sleep I’ve had in years. The mattress makes you feel as though you’re sleeping on a big, fluffy cloud, supporting your joints perfectly, not too hot like my last memory foam topper – I didn’t want to get up in the morning. Nearly a week later, it’s still the same – gorgeous uninterrupted nights’ sleep and looking forward to the end of the day so I can climb in. My husband loves it too because, while not firm, this mattress is massively supportive and stops him from spinning around trying to get comfortable all night.
All in all, we’ve had a wonderful experience with Bedlum Beds – the initial chats we had with Tim reassured us of our decision and the mattress itself has blown us away – and all for about a third of the price of this sort of quality mattress from some High Street bed chains. Couldn’t be happier and would recommend Bedlum Beds to anyone. You have a very happy, well rested customer here.
