We should point out that all mattresses should be turned on a regular basis in order to prevent uneven wear. This especially applies to pocket sprung mattresses. When a manufacturer makes a non-turn mattress they often advertise it as a feature, and say that the mattress has been made in a special way so that it doesn't have to be turned. The truth is that all they are doing by making a mattress non-turn is:
a) making it cheaper to manufacture because the memory foam is the most expensive part of the mattress.
b) making a mattress that won't last as long because you can't turn it over as well as around lengthways.
We recently sold a memory foam/pocket sprung mattress to an osteopath. So we asked their professional opinion on the best type of mattress for back support. They told us that most of their profession recommends a combination of pocket sprung and memory foam. They also went on to say that if you can't afford pocket sprung with memory foam, then the next best option is just pocket sprung, and that they are far superior to latex (or reflex) foam and memory foam mattresses that seem to be the most common memory foam mattresses on the market.
The Madrid mattress is 11" deep comprising of a medium to firm 6" deep 1000 pocket sprung layer (in a 5' king size mattress). This is then topped with a total of 4" (2" either side) of high density visco elastic memory foam for ultimate support (the other inch is made up from other materials that protect the memory foam from the springs). This is then covered in a luxuy fabric.

If you bought the equivalent king size mattress from that well known company that advertises on TV, it would cost you over £1650 (and theirs is the equivalent to our Midas mattress, this is a far superior and more expensive type).........if you don't believe me then check their web site.

The foam is very dense and slow releasing, therefore it moulds to your body and gives even support along the whole length of your body distributing your weight and giving you what is probably the most comfortable nights sleep you will ever have.

Coolmax doesn't perform as well as Climasmart in stablising the temperature, but it does take the moisture away from your body to stop that clammy sweaty feeling, which gives the impression of being cooler.
