Terms and Conditions
  
 
Bedlum Beds Ltd operate within Distance Selling Regs, and The Sale of Goods Act.
  
Delivery for most of the UK mainland is usually within one week to ten days. However some parts of the UK may take longer for delivery. We use our own transport, therefore delivery frequency may vary depending on sales. At busy periods delivery could take longer than normal, so if you require delivery urgently, then please inform us at the time of ordering.
 
By placing an order you are entering into a legally binding contract. So if you cancel or refuse delivery without good reason once our delivery route has been planned, you may still be charged a fee to cover our administration and return costs subject to our discression. This will also apply to items that are advertised as free delivery due to the fact that a space will have been allocated to your goods.
  
PLEASE NOTE: CUSTOMERS IN THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND, OR ISLANDS OFF THE COAST OF THE UK MAY BE CHARGED A SLIGHT EXCESS DELIVERY CHARGE. IF YOU THINK THIS MAY APPLY TO YOU, THEN PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECT FOR A QUOTE.
 
All goods, and delivery charges must be paid for in full before delivery.
 
If any items are out of stock, then we will consult the buyer before sending an equivalent alternative.
  
Goods will not be delivered until payments have cleared.
  
Any payments that are reversed by Paypal, or any credit card company after delivery may be subject to legal proceedings to recover the payment.
 
Bedlum Beds Ltd will endeavour to fit in with customers requiremnts with regards to deliveries as much as possible. However there may be weather, traffic, or other conditions beyond our control which may on occasions mean that delivery plans have to be changed. Bedlum Beds Ltd will not be held responsible in any way for any loss or expense incurred by the buyer or any other party due to any changes in delivery plans.
 
Any images shown on the web site are for illustration purposes only, therefore exact details and designs may vary from the picture shown.
 
Guarantee  
 
Bedlum Beds give a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so if you don't like it, just let us know within 14 days of delivery (date of dispatch for deliveries made by courier), and we will either give you a full refund, or change it for another model (we will always try to find a suitable replacement first). Due to mattresses needing a period of time to break in, we insist that you give any mattress at least seven nights use before you decide if it is suitable or not.
 
Mattress protectors must be used to qualify for the satisfaction guarantee, and goods must be in perfect condition. Mattress protectors or pillow can't be returned once used.
Please Note: We can't offer our 100% satisfaction guarantee on special sizes or special orders (this includes zip & link beds and mattresses). 
However you will still be covered by the manufactuers guarantee.
 
You must notify Bedlum Beds of any damage to the goods within 48 hours of delivery, who will then arrange for a replacement as soon as possible.
 
Special sizes, mattress protectors and pillows (once opened) are not covered by our satisfaction guarantee. Continental size divan sets, zip & link beds and mattresses have to be specially made, and are also classed as special sizes. However continental size mattresses on their own are covered by our satisfaction guarantee.
 
Due to the huge number of combinations of fabrics and sizes on headboards, these are classed as bespoke items, and are not covered by our satisfaction guarantee.
 
Any items delivered by courier must be checked before signing. If the driver is not willing to wait for you to check the goods, then you must sign unchecked. This is down to the courier's policy, not ours.
 
The manufacturer gives a 12 month guarantee against faulty materials and workmanship. And if your mattress contains memory foam, then there is a 2 year guarantee on the memory foam.
 
The guarantee does not cover miss use. This includes any damage or soiling, or not turning the mattress as per instructions on the Product Care Sheet (this will be e-mailed to you at the time of dispatch).
 
We feel that we need to point out that mattresses are not seats, and are not designed for the use of sitting on the edge of the mattress. Doing this to excess, without regular turning and rotating of the mattress can cause permanent damage to the mattress.
 
It is up to the customer to check the compatibility of any goods purchased from Bedlum Beds Ltd. It is entirely for the customers responsibility if goods should fail due to compatibility problems. For this reason advice should always be sought from Bedlum Beds Ltd before purchase.
 
It is possible that due to constant changes in specifications, that errors in exact descriptions for products may be out of date. And that exact designs of products may differ from those shown.
 
Most standard beds are designed for weights of up to around 18 to 19 stone per person. If it is for the use of any individual whos weight is in excess or close to this limit, you must contact us before purchase.
 
If you cancel an order without good reason after the route has been planned, then you may still have to pay for the cost of administration and transport costs for returning the goods, as room will have been allocated on the delivery vehicle. Andy items with special structural additions, such as 3D ventilation strips on mattresses that don't have them as standard, will be regarded as a bespoke order, and once ordered can only be cancelled up to seven days before delivery.
 
 
 
Returns Policy
 
 
If you wish to return any goods that are not faulty, then you must inform Bedlum Beds direct within 14 days of delivery (date of dispatch by courier). Bedlum Beds will then communicate with the customer to try and find a suitable alternative. However if a suitable alternative can't be found then we will issue a refund. Refunds will be issued once the goods have been returned to the factory for inspection. If goods have been damaged by the consumer, then no refund will be given.
 
Most of the time there will be no transport costs for returning goods. However Bedlum Beds reserve the right to charge for transport costs if they feel that the customer is being unreasonable. Bedlum Beds will only cover transport costs for returned items from within mainland UK. Bedlum Beds will not refund the delivery charge for any goods that a customer decides are unsuitable, unless advice on the most suitable item has been given verbally by a Bedlum Beds employee.
 
 
Delivery Policy
 
Orders placed over the Christmas period may take slightly longer to deliver than usual. This is due to the fact that most items are made to order, and the factory is closed over the Christmas and New Year period. This may cause a small back log in orders. If you require an urgent delivery, then please state your required delivery date at the time of ordering, and Bedlum Beds will make every effort to give your order priority.
 
All goods must be signed for at the time of delivery. If however a customer requests that goods are left in an unsecure location, and a customers signiture can not be obtained, then the Bedlum Beds delivery team will take photographic evidence that the item has been delivered to the requested location, and responsibility for the security of the goods id with the customer.
 
Bedlum Beds will try on all occasions to keep customers informed of delivery times, and will endevour to keep as close as possible to stated delivery times. However on some occasions due to circumstances beyond the control of Bedlum Beds, delivery may be earlier or later than the time originally stated. In order for us to run an efficient delivery service, and provide good communications customers must provide us with at least one telephone number, or other means on which they can be contacted should the need arise.
 
Bedlum Beds on most occasions deliver using their own transport, therefore the frequency of delivery runs is determined on the volume of orders. Delivery for most of the UK mainland is usually within one week, but on rare occasions this could be increased to ten days. However some parts of the UK may take longer for delivery.
 
If you require delivery before the next delivery run to your area, then Bedlum Beds may on occasions use a courier company. However we must point out that the courier will not insure large items such as beds. Bedlum Beds will however take care to make sure that all items are well packed.

Bedlum Beds Ltd reserve the right to charge a charge to cover administration and transport costs for returning any orders that are cancelled without good reason.
